All in New Delhi
Burberry celebrated the opening if its first Burberry Brit store in India at Select Citywalk in New Delhi last Friday, December 6, 2013.
As part of my job, I attend a lot of events across Mumbai and New Delhi, which have now started to feel like routine. I attended the Burberry Brit store launch as well and I must say that I loved the fact that Burberry had British acoustic musician Roo Panes and local musician Winit Tikoo perform live at the event. With music being at the heart of Burberry's global activity, the event continues to celebrate the brand's commitment towards supporting emerging talent and was a special treat for the 150 guests in attendance.

Finally got the chance to visit the Michael Kors store this weekend. With this store at ground floor of Delhi's DLF Emporio, Michael Kors has made its foray into India.

JJ Valaya opened Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week 2013 with his, 'The Maharaja of Madrid’ collection. Presented by the AMR group the show depicted the "factitious voyage of a Monarch who was fascinated by Spanish art, customs and forms."
Much to the designers trademark style all elements of the show were dripping with grandeur, from the set designed by Schenographer Sumant Jayakrishnan, specially crafted soundtrack by Gaurav Raina of Medieval Pundit to the stunning clothes.
Kabir Bedi and Kangana Ranaut closed the show which was nothing short of a visual spectacle. Take a look...
Attention ladies... now you don't need to wait for your next trip abroad to stock up on your favourite BB goodies and I am saying this because everyone I know already uses something or the other from Bobbi Brown daily. It is about time that the store opened up in India.
Bobbi Brown Cosmetics is now open in Delhi's Select Citywalk. The beauty line developed by celebrated make-up artist Bobbi Brown "revolutionised the beauty industry in 1991 with the launch of 10 brown-based lipsticks and a simple philosophy that with the right makeup and knowledge women can look like themselves, only prettier and more confident."
Bobbi Brown Cosmetics offers a full range of color cosmetics, brushes, and skincare. My personal favourite is the POT Rouge, you'll always find that in my bag. :-)

On my last trip to Delhi, I made it a point to visit the newly opened Sephora boutique. With my grandmother and mother in tow, I headed to the beauty haven in Select Citywalk mall. I've shopped at Sephora several times before in various countries and true to tradition this black boutique offers an unmatched range of beauty and skin-care products.
The biggest draw is the amazing selection of products, which is well organised in clear sections so that you are not lost while searching for what you need. If I start naming the different brands available, it will take me all day. I was happiest to see a large section of Dior make-up, Guerlain, Burt's Bees and Forest Essentials.
Roberto Cavalli celebrated the opening of the brand’s flagship boutique in India in association with Infinite Luxury Brands Pvt. Ltd. last evening at DLF, Emporio in New Delhi. If the pictures are anything to go by, this was quite a night in Delhi's social calendar. Roberto Cavalli, Chritiana Cavalli & Manav Gangwani, Sahiba Narang, Rahul Kapoor, Directors, Infinite Luxury Brands celebrated the evening with a mix of Bollywood and Delhi's glitterati.
I can't get over the stunning dresses in all the pictures. Seems like Delhi's swish set took cue from Roberto Cavalli's style best known for the exotic prints, bold colours, opulent accessories and unmistakable flamboyance. The designer proved once again why he is often reffered to as the "undisputed king of party glamour."
Sonam Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Jacqueline Fernades, Raveena Tandon, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan and more after the jump...
Roberto Cavalli officially announced the openinig of the first Roberto Cavalli boutique in India on December 7, 2012. Roberto Cavalli has collaborated with Infinite Luxury Brands Pvt. Ltd.’s earlier this year to bring women’s and men’s prêt-à-porter collections, as well as accessories, eyewear, timewear and kidswear from the Italian designer to India.
The boutique is located on the ground floor of DLF, Emporio in New Delhi with the Cavalli Cafe just outside the 400 sq. ft. global fashion store. Mr. Cavalli was joined by Sahiba Narang, Manav Gangwani & Rahul Kapoor, Directors, Infinite Luxury Brands Pvt. Ltd. and bollywood stars Neha Dupia and Zayed Khan at the opening.
Its quite a bummer that I couldn't be in Delhi this weekend for Payal Jain's Autumn/Winter 2012 couture showing. The collection is called "Butterflies In My Heart" do I really need to say more?
The fanciful couture line features jackets, sensual blouses, layered and wrapped sarongs, paneled skirts, flowing capes, dreamy dresses and magical ball gowns. The color palette is dominated by ivory, peppered with red, aubergine and navy, finally ending in black. What brings these hues to life is the choice of rich fabrics ranging from silk to satin as well as organza and lace.
The first thing that struck me about the collection was the three-dimensional form given to the gowns with the use of delicate detailing. The creations have been embellished with intricate cutwork, precious pearl and crystal embroidery, sequin sprinkling, feather detailing and floral appliqué surface texturization.
