Prada had raised a lot of curiosity by releasing the name of one celebrity a day to their 800,000 plus followers on facebook in the run up to their Fall/Winter 2012 menswear show in Milan on January 15th, 2012. The show dedicated to men and power surely lived up to the hype with the likes of Gary Oldman, Adrien Brody, Willam Defoe, Jamie Bell and Tim Roth walking walking the red, white and black runway.
Given the powerful theme the serious mood of the collection was complimented with the dramatic music. Miuccia Prada presented a collection of solids, stripes and spots in industrial colors with bursts of red and white at regular intervals. I particularly liked the belted overcoats with exaggerated collars accessorised with colorful pens, pins and badges. The daisy print shoes, flower crosages and red tinted glasses added an element of fun.
