I caught the much awaited 'Cocktail' yesterday and the film does not disappoint on the style quotient. Chic styling complete with Burberry jackets and Chanel slings to keep every little fashionista in the audience happy. :-)
The film on the other hand is okay. Its definitely better than the two-stars the papers have given it. The look and story-telling is fresh but the downer is the cliche characterisation. All "good girls" are covered up from head to toe and don't drink or date while all "bad girls" flaunt their figures, drink themselves silly and hook up with anything that moves. I really think its time Bollywood moved past these generalizations.
Deepika Padukone looks every bit the star of the film and acts the part as well. I think this role suited her and she excelled in her performance. Saif is witty and charming as always; his version of 'Sheila Ki Jawani' is the highlight of the film. Diana Penty has been cast well as Miss goody two-shoes. I quite enjoyed the film. :-)
