All in Suits

Suit: Manish Malhotra; Clutch: Bottega Veneta; Shoes: Salvatore Ferragamo

Family weddings are way too much fun. They provide the perfect excuse to bust jhatak Bollywood moves; hog like a pig all while you are dressed to the nines.

Here is a picture from my cousin sister's wedding and very rarely will anyone find me this "dressed up." For the Anand Karaj ceremony, I opted for this Manish Malhotra suit for the contrasting colour combination and beautiful dupatta. The oyster hue with champagne colored embroidery all offset by the striking coral in the border.

Finished the look with a chalk Bottega Veneta satin knot clutch and Grazia sandals from Salvatore Ferragamo

My hair did start the day with a messy bun, which as you can see in the picture above clearly didn't hold up for too long. See below for the updo and different ways to drape the dupatta...

Saw the 'Wolf of Wall Street' last night and if you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend the film. Apart from the stellar perfomances the film has also been a talking point for its costumes.

Giorgio Armani worked with acclaimed costume designer Sandy Powell in this special collaboration. As Wall Street tycoon Belfort, the film’s star Leonardo DiCaprio is featured in Giorgio Armani's period style, circa 1993.

I instantly recognised this look because of the unmistakable print on the shirt from Ermenegildo Zegna's Spring/Summer 2013 ready-to-wear collection. A statement to the ZegnaSilk project, Zegna's Spring/Summer 2013 collection featured clothes in "The cashmere of summer," silk.

Tropical banana leaves or mango leaves printed on luxurious silk were the big talk around Zegna's latest collection. Ranveer Singh makes this look his own by dropping the pocket square, rolling up the sleeves, adding a hat and wait for it...kohlapuri chappals.

Christian Bale and Anne Hathway both wore Gucci to the European premiere of  ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ on July 18, 2012 in London, England. Christian Bale wore a Gucci black notch lapel two button Signoria suit with white dress shirt, black silk tie and black leather belt. Anne Hathaway wore a Gucci Cruise 2013 champagne beaded gown with floral embellished neckline. Going for the film tomorrow night, can't wait!

Its so nice to see a male celebrity break out of the all black mould for formal attire. Andrew Garfield wore a Gucci MRTW Spring/Summer 2012 grey and blue checked Marseille jacket, white dress shirt, blue satin tie, grey crewneck sweater and black trousers to 'The Amazing Spider-Man' premiere at the Sony Centre on June 20, 2012 in Berlin, Germany.

In a world dominated by two-button slim fit suits, its been a while that I have seen a suit with a double-breasted jacket and even longer since I've seen one done well. Shahid Kapoor wore a double-breasted suit with peaked lapels and satin trims to Karan Johar's birthday bash. The formal white shirt, bow-tie, patent leather shoes and gelled back hair...all perfect.

Double-breasted suits tend to make one appear a bit larger so if you plan on buying one make sure it suits your frame. The peaked lapels on the jacket is a really good choice because they tend to make one look taller. Tom Cruise is the only star that I can think of who is often spotted in a double-breasted suit on the red carpet and mostly with peaked lapel jackets.

The suit has been designed by Kunal Rawal, seen with Shahid Kapoor at party in the picture below.

American TV presenter Ryan Seacrest wore Burberry for the American Idol Season 11 Finale. He is wearing a two button navy mohair tuxedo, white shirt and bow-tie all by Burberry. A navy suit is a great alternative to a black tuxedo. A navy jacket can also be worn seperately over denims and a shirt.

The man single handedly responsible for turning the pea coat into a fashion statement has ditched the jacket for some fine Italian tailoring.  Gucci has collaborated with costume designer Denise Cronenberg to create a sleek and elegant silhouette for the "Twilight" star in his new contemporary thriller, “Cosmopolis."

"In the film, Pattinson’s character is dressed in one of Gucci’s signature silhouettes - a black two button notch lapel Signoria. The impeccably tailored suit is paired with a fitted white cotton shirt, slim black silk tie, leather belt with silver buckle detail and black leather lace up dress shoes." I like his new look a lot.
