All in Shopping

Ensemble has launched Manish Malhotra's first ever shop-in-shop at their Lion's Gate store in Mumbai. Visited the shop yesterday and was happy to see that they are carrying the entire range of Manish Malhotra's creations from the bridal to the diffusion line.

I particularly liked the colour-blocked tunics (you can see them on the left side in the picture above). Nice and bright for the summer; besides you don't need to then wait for a big occasion to put dress up in some Manish Malhotra.

Burberry celebrated the opening if its first Burberry Brit store in India at Select Citywalk in New Delhi last Friday, December 6, 2013.

As part of my job, I attend a lot of events across Mumbai and New Delhi, which have now started to feel like routine. I attended the Burberry Brit store launch as well and I must say that I loved the fact that Burberry had British acoustic musician Roo Panes and local musician Winit Tikoo perform live at the event. With music being at the heart of Burberry's global activity, the event continues to celebrate the brand's commitment towards supporting emerging talent and was a special treat for the 150 guests in attendance.

On a daily basis I get emails from fashion enthusiasts asking me about where they can buy designer pieces at affordable prices. The people writing in for the most part don't belong to Delhi or Mumbai and particularly ask for online recommendations. I am a big supporter of taking things online and am excited to introduce you to stylista.com.

Stylista.com – India’s First Collaborative Fashion Platform is now officially live. In a nutshell Stylista.com brings you limited edition designer pieces that have been made exclusively for the online portal at affordable prices.

As of today you can shop exclusiveve pieces from leading designers Wendell Rodricks, Priyadarshini Rao, Nishka Lulla, Yogesh Chaudhary, Tanya Sharma and Rinku Dalamal on stylista.com and there are several other big names expected to be added soon. Personally, I want to get my hands on one of the Yogesh Chaudhary dresses you see in the picture above.

So I went from store to store to store to store... looking for a rugged pair for shoes for my upcoming Holiday. I prefer to travel light and wanted a pair of shoes that would work in the city, on the glaciers, in the snow and in the forest. I really should have just gone to Timberland first cause I had a feeling I wasn't going to find something quite like this anywhere else.

Made ever so popular by rappers and pop royalty this shoe has been around for over 40 years.

After Suneet Varma, this is the Pernia's Pop Up Shop collaboration I am most excited about. Pernia’s pop up shop will now be featuring the ‘Regally Rohit’ collection by Rohit Bal. This collaboration will bring his latest collection of regal sarees to the online portal making it just a click away.

My first ever Indian outfit that my parents bought me in my teens was a Rohit Bal churidar kameez and I still have it. He was also the most obvious and only choice for the outfit for my wedding ceremony. Both my husband and I wore Rohit Bal for the Anand Karaj. :-)))

So I completely agree with Pernia when she says, “To own a Rohit Bal outfit is a dream come true for a lot of people. Now just a few clicks away one can own his signature styles. I am proud to have Rohit on our designer roster with his beautiful creations."
