On February 19thSwarovski introduced an elite audience to an exclusive event entitled Swarovski Sparkling Inspirations 2014, where beautiful, crystal-adorned objects from a variety of creative arenas were showcased.

I find it difficult to imagine a time where we had Indian wedding attire without Swarovski. Clearly Swarovski encrusted couture creations were a highlight of this evening. Extraordinary designs were showcased from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Gaurav Gupta, JJ Valaya, Manav Gangwani, Manish Arora, Manish Malhotra, Ravi Bajaj, Rohit Bal, Sabyasachi, Shantanu Goenka, Suneet Varma and Tarun Tahiliani.

Attended the DLF Emporio Design Awards 2013-2014, on February 18th in Delhi. Students from leading colleges sent in their entries, keeping with this year's theme, 'Reinventing The Classics.' Budding design ethusiasts presented their interpretations of the iconic creations such as the Burberry Trench, Dior Bar Jacket, Fendi Baguette and traditional saree. At the risk of sounding cliché, it was a great effort all around and nice to see such a unique platform to showcase one's talent.

I am yet to own an Anamika Khanna piece :-( The designer continues to impress with her stunning designs season after season and I am eagerly waiting for a worthy occasion to add one of her outfits to my wardrobe.

While I wait, London got a taste of Anamika Khanna's creations with an exclusive preview at Aashni+Co hosted by Priyanka Gill. The writer and investor, brought together crème de la crème of London’s society, including Bina Agarwal, Rishika Lulla, among others for this special unveiling of Anamika Khanna's Couture Collection.

Attended the special evening organized by Lilavati Hospital and Cineyug Entertainment to raise awareness of the "Save & Empower The Girl Child" initiative.

To support the empowerment of the girl child, Bollywood celebrities Madhuri Dixit, Lara Dutta, Preity Zinta, Malaika Arora Khan, Evelyn Sharma, Mandira Bedi, Swara Bhaskar, Lucky Morani and Eesha Koppikar walked the ramp in stunning creations by Manish Malhotra. Apart from the fashion show, another highlight of the evening was a thought-provoking performance by Shaimak Davar's dance company. Excellent effort by everyone involved to bring attention to a very important cause.

I have had a very sheltered upbringing and am very fortunate that my parents are unbiased in their thinking. Growing up, I always believed that these issues only concern uneducated people and didn't quite pay any attention. Once out of my parent's bubble land, I was in for a rude shock and realized that discrimination against girls is a reality everywhere regardless of education or social status. Also, it is not just the extreme cases of female foeticide or rape that count as cruelty. Educated people living in the big cities with all the exposure in the world also ill-treat girls in the name of tradition and culture on a daily basis. At the risk of sounding preachy, all I'll say is that don't turn a blind eye, however big or small the matter, what is wrong is wrong. And, if nothing else spare a thought.

This past weekend on January 24, 2014; Delhi celebrated the 5th anniversary of Blue Bar at Taj Palace in New Delhi along with the launch of celebrity favourite high-end women's wear label Marchesa. Marchesa has been worn by the likes of Blake Lively, Rihanna, Cameron Diaz, Halle Berry and Sandra Bullock on the red carpet and is being brought to India by the multi-brand concept store, Kitsch.

Along with fine food, guests enjoyed a fashion presentation that showcased elegant gowns with intricate craftsmanship and whimsical details of the New York based brand.

Spotted Haseena Jethmalani carrying the Bottega Veneta crocodile leather clutch at a recent party hosted by Kingfisher Premium. I had seen only a handful of crocodile leather pieces which included two-tone knots and these box clutches at the Bottega Veneta store in Palladium. Delighted to finally spot one of these on a red carpet. Surely a WOW factor, great choice with the pant-suit.

Now that I am done gushing over the bag...

Kingfisher Premium hosted a pre-party for the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon. Well known athletes were seen grooving to the tunes of DJ Miss Kelly Marie and mingling with guests that included  Tara Sharma, Amrita Raichand, Amyra Dastur, Pooja Misrra, Ira Dubey, Amyra Dastur, Anil Chopra and more. Take a look...

Sonam Kapoor completed the look with a Bottega Veneta Knot, emerald earrings and a chic updo

As always the Golden Globes was a star-studded affair with some major fashion momements on the red carpet. Among the men my personal favourite was Leonardo DiCaprio for his clean, crisp and classic look.

Leonardo DiCaprio wore a Giorgio Armani black two-button notch lapel tuxedo with a classic white evening shirt. DiCaprio won Best Actor – Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, for his role as Jordan Belfort in "The Wolf of Wall Street."

For other stars in Giorgio Armani see below...

I am eagerly waiting for Ranveer Singh to take up a role that requires him to bring the scruffy look back. Anyhoo even with his new crop and clean shaven look, he continues to be anything but boring in his appearances.

The star was styled by Nitasha Gaurav in Tom Ford & Dior. Quite like this look for the blue shawl collar jacket as well as the mismatched bow-tie and pocket square.
