10 Tips for Beauty Sleep by Estee Lauder!

1.       A sleep schedule is very important—this involves timeliness and the recommended slot spans from 10pm to 7am for the prescribed seven hours.

2.      Over-indulging on weekends cannot compensate for lack of sleep on weekdays and will not reverse the damage, nor will afternoon naps that extend over a period of 30 minutes. FYI: A mid-day snooze must end by 4 pm.

3.      Keep your mind clutter free—all of life’s important decisions and analysis can wait until the next morning so don’t use your pre-slumber moments to stress about your schedule. It is recommended that you jot down all important tasks for the next day to keep your mind at ease.

Tips & Tricks by Tom Pecheux, Estee Lauder’s Creative Makeup Director

Mix, match and play with texture this party season with tips and tricks  from Estee Lauder.

If opting for a feminine, elegant look, opt for glistening aqua shades, see-through subtle color and shimmer that are revealed little by little!

Begin with a perfectly fresh face by applying the Invisible Powder Makeup.  Available in a range of true-to-life shades, the Invisible Powder Makeup and Invisible Fluid Makeup (for those who prefer a liquid foundation) provides skin with a flawless, luminous and naturally perfected look. Next create bronze contoured cheeks and finish the look with pink-nude lips and a slight shimmer on the eye in a subtle emerald shade. For the eyes, one can blend the Pure Color Stay-on Shadow Paint in Cosmic, Extreme Emerald, Halo and Steel, with the mix of colors creating a glistening finish on the lid.

Clinique invited me to try their new Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, I have used a lot of their products so was more than happy to give this one a try as well. I had a lovely specialist, Penaz, at their store in the Palladium mall, patiently help me figure out my skin type and then guide me through the recommended steps to take better care of my skin.

With crazy work hours and an even more hectic travel calendar, I find my skin to be quite dehydrated most of the times and am constantly looking for gels/creams/lotions... you name it... to bring some life into without being sticky.

I have been using this lotion diligently (after the cleansing and toning) for little over a week now and I have to say I am quite happy with it. It's not made any drastic changes, but I do find my skin to be hydrated without a trace of oiliness. I also like the compact yet tough packaging as it makes it easy for me to carry around.

If like me you also found yourself wondering, why clinique was changing a really sucessful product... the experts have the answers...

Attention ladies... now you don't need to wait for your next trip abroad to stock up on your favourite BB goodies and I am saying this because everyone I know already uses something or the other from Bobbi Brown daily. It is about time that the store opened up in India.

Bobbi Brown Cosmetics is now open in Delhi's Select Citywalk. The beauty line developed by celebrated make-up artist Bobbi Brown "revolutionised the beauty industry in 1991 with the launch of 10 brown-based lipsticks and a simple philosophy that with the right makeup and knowledge women can look like themselves, only prettier and more confident."

Bobbi Brown Cosmetics offers a full range of color cosmetics, brushes, and skincare. My personal favourite is the POT Rouge, you'll always find that in my bag. :-)
