All in Bags

Take a look at the Gucci Spring/Summer 2014 Advertising Campaign. The campaign has been shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and features models Amanda Wellsh and Elisabeth Erm, Tommaso De Benedictic and Luca Till Statscheit.

Shot on a scintillating red backdrop, these images have a super rich feel. They also capture the mood of the Gucci Spring/Summer 2014 brilliantly. My take away: luxe sportswear inspired clothing, exotic leather, fringes and prints.

Sonakshi Sinha opted for a beautiful blue lehenga saree from Ritu Kumar. I am usually quite good at spotting a Ritu Kumar piece at first glance but have to admit I wasn't able to identify this one. Embellished off-white thread and sequin, this outfit may not be classic Ritu Kumar but it stunning nonetheless.

An elegant updo, polki jewelery and a leather Bottega Veneta knot clutch finished the look. Nicely done.

Sonam Kapoor looked elegant in a blue Anushka Khanna gown from the designer's Autumn/Winter 2013 collection at the 59th Idea Filmfare pre awards party. The gown featured Anushka Khanna's signature sequence embroidery in black. High neck and full-sleeves, the gown had a risqué back.

Sonam Kapoor completed the look with a Bottega Veneta Knot, emerald earrings and a chic updo

Bag: Chanel, Shoes: YSL; Suit: Tarun Tahiliani

Colour experts will have their say, but if you are looking to buy one thing this season, I would highly recommend something in GOLD. For starters the colour isn't going out of style anytime soon, certainly not in India. My gold Chanel sling and YSL sandals have been my "survival kit" this festive season; I am wearing them in the picture above with a Tarun Tahiliani ensemble.

Most of my social engagmenets are out of town, so its a great plus when I can match them with most of my outfits. We all know that once you pack an anarkali, there isn't much room left for anything else. :-)

Recently Tod's hosted a Christmas Brunch in association with Harper's Bazaar. The highlight of that event was the Tod’s Limited Edition SELLA bag. The bag is everything that is expected from the Italian luxury house: understated, impeccable and the made of the highest quality.

Sure to make an amazing present (not so subtle about dropping hints now am I?), the Tod's Sella bag is inspired from a dressage saddle and "fashioned from a strip of fine leather, gently curved like a saddle that follows the beautiful line of the back of a thoroughbred."

Tod’s and Harper’s Bazaar India hosted a Christmas brunch celebrating the Sella Collection at The Lodhi Hotel over a lovely winter afternoon in New Delhi.

The event saw guests from the world of fashion, cricket, television, theatre, , industry such as Jas Arora, Anupama Dayal, Namrata Joshipura, Mohammad Azharuddin, Simar Duggal, Suneet Verma, Anand Bhushan, Mini Thapar, Ambika Anand, Poonam Bhagat, Arjun Saluja and many more.

Autumn/Winter 2013 has really been the season to celebrate the exotic skins and precious metals. I have been going ga ga over the croc knots (that are available in India) and spotted another awe-inspiring clutch from the Italian luxury brand, the Bottega Veneta Sterling Silver Knot.

Tanisha Mohan & Ruby Dhalla carried the Bottega Veneta Sterling Silver Knot on the 18th November 2013 at a cocktail dinner that was hosted by Mr. Sandeep Jajodia & Mr. Sanjay Kapoor for Mr. Marco Bizzari, President & CEO Bottega Veneta at the Jajodia house in New Delhi.

Also love the pink Manolo Blahnik shoes on Ms. Mohan. This style in particular remains my favourite shoe from Manolo Blahnik. Take a closer look at the bag below...

Here is a look at Fendi's reinterpretation of the iconic Baguette, the uber chic Fendi BeBaguette bag. This new range of bags come in a modern and bold look thanks to its compact shape. The use of unique materials and colours makes for some stand out pieces. I personally love the pink one above. :-)

The bag also features a front pocket, top handle and chain strap, making it ideal to go from day to night.

Bag: Furla, T-shirt: Emporio Armani, Shoes: Fendi, Sunglasses: Gucci, Jeans: 7 For All Mankind, Cuff: Hermes

A girl can never ever have enough bags... So here is the latest addition to my ever growing bag collection... hehehe... Say hello to my new Elisabeth hobo bag from Furla. :-)))

Its a great day bag in a yummy bougainvillea violet hue with lots of room for all the little things I like to run around with. Took it out with me for a Sunday Brunch (Four Seasons in Mumbai has recently started serving brunch) with a simple jeans and white tee.

#WHATAMIWEARING Dress: Burberry, Bag: Celine, Shoes: Tod's

Took this picture on a recent trip to São Paulo outside the amazing Fasano hotel, where I was staying. Was in the fashion capital of South America for just over a day so had to make the most of my short visit. As much as I love to play dress up; it is super important for me to be comfortable specially while going to explore a new city on an all day long tour.

So, I opted for this blue denim shirt dress from Burberry with a chocolate braided leather belt, my roomy Celine mini luggage tote and Tod's flats. All ideal for a casual city look and oh so comfy. :-)
