Anupamaa Dayal's collection is inspired by the magic of my favourite, Delhi. While Delhi for me is family, friends and food. Anupama's Ishq-e-Dilli, is about reinterpriting the rich Islamic art, Mughal traditions with subtle references to the Sultanate and Lodhis.
The collection designed for a free spirit are derived from tradition but have a global appeal. Sharara inspired trousers, lehenga inspired skirts, jamas and angarkhas which are versatile enough to be worn as dresses.
This fashion show also marked the designer's debut in bridal fashion as showcased some elaborate trousseau pieces but a bohemian touch.
