Anushka Khanna’s presented her collection titled 'Floral Fragments' as part of USHA Talent Box on Day 1 of Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive, August 3rd, 2012. The young designers collection was all about infusing art with clothing. The creations were inspired by mosaic work and presented a blend of Victorian romanticism with the rigidity and classical structure of this renaissance art. To add star power to her showing the designer had Kareena Kapoor and Karan Johar for support.
The primary fabrics on the runway were silks, georgette and crepes. The silhouettes were free flowing and ultra feminine. The designer played with coloured thread-work and sequins for embellishments. Transposing from modern to ethnic, this collection also included saris as well as flared skirts which displayed both mosaic prints as well as patterned bead work. The collection included jackets. tunics, dressed and blazers with shades of greys, pinks, oranges and neons.
The designer described her a collection as modern, fun and feminine; for the young diva who likes to be in the spotlight.
