I am loving white this week :-) Kim Kardashin was spotted two days ago (Feb 2nd) shopping at Chanel in Miami wearing a white tank, a blue Rachel Zoe skirt and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. I like how she has given this look shape by cinching the full skirt and loose tank with a belt at the waist. To balance bold skirt and lots of jewelry you need a plain piece in the middle and that's where the white tank is a must.
You can call it a sleeveless tee, singlet, vest or tank top (the term wife-beater is usually used for a tank on men). I like mine stretchy and long. Even though it is such a basic piece, you have to get the right fit cause you don't want it making bubbles in all the wrong places. I prefer the ribbed tank tops cause they retain their shape even after many washes.
This tiny wardrobe no-brainer need not always be boring. With simple additions you can really dress it up and have fun with it. Here are some of my favourite ways to wear the white tank. Take a look :-))
Ali Larter has changed the basic denims and tee look completely by adding a sequence cardigan, gold necklace and box clutch.
It's the go to top with full skirts. Easy to tuck in and layer on top of. I like how Blake Lively has worn her top with an embellished denim waistcoat and chunky accessories (no too crazy about the flats though).
Selena Gomez goes semi-formal with her tank, with a shimmery cardigan and boots.
Cameron Diaz goes for a fun day look with a blazer, links chain, shorts, wedges and of course the white tank.
Jennifer Aniston wears it very casually but with a stripped scarf and sling back to add a little twist.
Kim Kardashin again, wearing it tucked into high-waisted shorts with a blazer on top.
A plain tank is probably one of the only things that complements fitted blingy skirts.
Kate Moss is wearing her tank with a summer suit.
Demi more goes for the classic red, white and black combination. With this look she has taken the white tank to the red carpet
Sarah Jane Dias wears her tank formally with hig-waisted pants and chunky accessories.
Blake Lively again. The perfect way to balance a crazy shirt like that is to tone it down with a white tank.
