Yauatcha pronounced You-aatchaa; is an all day dining restaurant that is owned by Ka restaurants (the same company that owns Hakksan).
Since it is located in the new "financial district" of Mumbai I was pleasantly surprised to see it bustling at dinner time on a Tuesday night with most people quite dolled up. I don't know if it was mere coincidence but the ladies of Mumbai seem to love leopard print. Embelished, flowly, halter, buttoned down, tunics and belted tops in Leopard print - they were all there.
Along with people watching, I also sampled a variety of light dim sums. The 55 steamed, fried, baked and grilled dim sum options have been created for Yauatcha by Wah Cheong Soon, the master dim sum chef for Hakkasan in Mumbai.
Oh and I had my first en papillote dish today (been so curios to try one of those after an overdose of Masterchef Australia). Special mention for the raspberry cake with chocolate praline. Great food, really good crowd and prompt service. :-)))
Yauatcha is located at Raheja Tower, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra East, Mumbai.
