DIY Coffee Sea Salt Body Scrub
My mom bombards (no kidding) me with home remedies and do-it-yourself packs on a daily basis. On most days I am just too damn lazy to follow the tedious steps. However, on occasion, I come across a recipe that is quick and easy. Just perfect to be filed under what I would like to call the 'Lazy Girl's Guide To Beauty.'
So here it is... Coffee Sea Salt Body Scrub...
Ingredients: 1/2 cup sea salt + 1 table spoon coffee + 1 table spoon herb infused oil (you can use coconut oil as well)
Directions: Mix well and store in a glass container.
Even though when stored in a cool dry place and in an air-tight container, these scrubs last for months I prefer making them in a small quantity. Besides, this was the only empty glass container I could find at home.
I would request everyone to do a patch test before applying this all over the skin. Keep in mind that the sea salt is coarse and you don't need to put pressure when you apply the scrub. If you have a white bathtub like me, be sure to wash off the coffee scrub quickly from the surface as you don't want coffee stains all over your bathroom.
This body scrub works wonderfully as an exfoliator. Packed with antioxidants, coffee is known to help tighten the skin, reduce cellulite and inflammation. Sea salt is a great cleanser that helps cleanse the pores deeply.
Not to mention in smells great! A super edition to my morning routine.
