Himalaya Herbals Winter Care
I couldn't agree more with the quote above. After turning 32 earlier this year, I am suddenly much more aware of the importance of taking care of your skin. Eating right and moisturising seem to be the most basic but most effective things one can do. For a fussy eater like me, moisturising is the easy part and I don't go a single day without it.
The change in weather calls for a change in my skincare regime and I was delighted to receive this generous hamper from Himalaya Herbals just in time. Complete with moisturisers, body lotions and lip balms, it has everything one needs to take care of their skin in the harsh winter months.
I was first introduced to Himalaya skin care products while studying in Boston. While everyone typically requests you to bring back a food item from India, I had a family friend ask me to bring her the Himalaya acne pimple cream. Rather surprised by her unusual request, I decided to give the Himalaya products a try for myself and have been using them on and off over the last couple of years.
This care package has sort of reintroduced me to Himalaya Herbals and I am happy to report the products are just as good as I remembered them to be. I have been trying out all the different products for the last one week. The Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Skin Cream, Strawberry Shine Lip Care and Cocoa Butter Intensive Care Body Lotion were real standouts that are now are part of my morning skincare routine.
For a combination skin type, the Nourishing Skin Cream, is ideal for the Mumbai weather. The Aloe Vera nourishes the skin, while the winter cherry and Indian kino tree extract protect the skin from pollution. It is not greasy at all, therefore, people with an oily skin type can also use it.
As I shuttle between Mumbai and Delhi every month, I plan on switching to the much richer, Winter Defence Moisturising cream for my stay in Delhi. With its key ingredients such as jojoba and almond oil, it is sure to be a lifesaver in the unforgiving cold.
I received three body lotions and have tried them all. Currently, I have skin that you could easily scribble on (yes, even while in Bombay). To combat this dryness, I have opted to stick with the Cocoa Butter Intensive Body Lotion, which is recommended for extra dry skin.
My favourite and the most addictive product from this lot, is the Himalaya Herbals Strawberry Lip Care balm. If like me, you enjoy wearing fruity lip balms, you will love this product. It leaves the lips feeling smooth and shiny with just the right hint of pink colour. Not to mention it smells yummy. The lip balm is free from preservatives and made using 100% natural colour.
If you have tried any of these products I would love to know about your experience, so please do leave a comment below. If you haven't already tried one of these and are looking to change up your daily skincare routine, I highly recommend you give these a try.
