Christian Louboutin Launches Lipsticks

Christian Louboutin Launches Lipsticks

After the stupendous success of the nail polishes, everyone has been waiting and wondering for what will be coming next from Christian Louboutin Beauté. You can't call yourself a true "Loubi Fan" if you didn't already know that the designer has launched an exciting range of lip colours.

And lucky me, has managed to get a hold of two. :-)

Similar to the nail polishes, it was the design that first caught my attention. It has that "wow" factor, which makes you want these lipsticks regardless of how many you may already have in your kit. This is Monsieur Louboutin that we are talking about and the lipstick comes in no ordinary bullet. It is encased in a jewel like vial that you can literally wear around your neck tied with silk ribbons.

The range consists of lipsticks in three different types of finishes - Silky Satin, Sheer Voile and (my favourite) Velvet Matte. The colours vary from reds, corals, pinks, browns to berries. In terms of the actual lipstick, I have got two shades, the Rouge Louboutin Velvet Matte and the Miss Loubi. I had just had to get the classic red (FYI at the time of writing this blogpost this shade was already sold out on the Christian Louboutin US website) and Miss Loubi because it is my favourite shade from the nail colours.

First impressions are great. Both the lipsticks have a really high intensity of colour and don't dry the lips. I wore the matte one for longer and it stayed on smooth for the entire evening. No cracks or visible lines, just rich colour. They are considerably more expensive than any other lip colour that I have purchased in the past, but I am not complaining.

Apart from the lipsticks the collection also offers Lip Definers, a self-sharpening lip pencil to define the contour of the lips. While the lipsticks are available in 36 shades the lip definer is currently available in five. Similar to the lipstick, the packaging is inspired by Middle Eastern antiquities and the Art Deco movement.

I was way too excited to wait and take proper pictures, so decided to share this story with pictures I took from my phone last night when the courier arrived. Needless to say I will be sharing a detailed story with a make-up look using each one of the two shades that I have got. So, stay tuned!

Simply Stunning!

I am planning on keeping mine in these beautiful cases...

I've got a new favourite RED... Rouge Louboutin Velvet Matte Lip Colour...

Unboxed them on my snapchat (username:SanjanaBanaik) last night...
