Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream

During a trip to Dubai, earlier this year, I took a make-up lesson at the Bobbi Brown store at the Dubai Mall. As much as I love fashion, make-up is still a new thing for me. To think, I bought my first ever foundation last year... you get the drift. So, whenever possible, I like to learn a few new tricks and since Bobbi Brown offers complimentary lessons, I decided to get in the chair.

My main concern with my skin has always been the under eye area, as the dark circles refuse to leave me. I often find concealers to be very dehydrating and notice that they form lines after a few hours. So, my big question for the make-up expert was, "How can I cover my dark circles, such that the concealer doesn't crease or crack an hour or so later?" I used to think, that I need a setting powder or need to opt for concealers with a different texture to get a smooth result. But, the Bobbi Brown expert recommended otherwise.

The make-up expert, advised applying a hydrating eye cream as my skin was really dry. I left the store after applying the eye cream with the concealer and the effect lasted all day. Thrilled with the result, I picked up this jar of the eye cream. As with all beauty product reviews, I have been using this eye cream for over a month now and am very happy with it.

While this cream hasn't reduced the dark circles, it leaves the skin under my eye feeling hydrated. It is just the right texture, leaving my skin feeling dewy and not greasy. It is super light and has a cooling effect. I need to apply the smallest amount and even though, I don't apply concealer on my eye lids, I apply this cream in a circular motion both above and under my eyes.

Being the lazy bum, that I am, I only ever apply the cream, when I am wearing make-up. However, you can use this as your day and night eye cream. A little goes a long way and this tiny jar should last you for easily three months.

I must also mention that I have very sensitive skin, which gets irritated with just about anything. I am very selective with applying products on my face, particularly near the eyes. The Bobbi Brown cream is practically odour less and has given me no trouble at all.

I was so happy with my first make-up lesson, that I went back to the Bobbi Brown store, the next day, for some more beauty advice. Needless, to say I also ended up buying several of the recommended products, so stay tuned, as I have got lots more to share.
