Best Dressed ~ Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards
Filmfare recently announced the Glamour and Style Awards and given the recent flood of award shows, they had my attention as the awards were entered around the theme of fashion. I had very high expectations from the red carpet routine and I am happy to report that the stars did not disappoint.
Now, I have skimmed through the buzz on social media and I know I am in a minority when I say this but, Sridevi was my best dressed of the night. The diva was decked in black from head to toe with smokey eyes and a big blowout hairdo. I loved every bit of the look.
Alia Bhatt was in princess mode and although the dress seemed overwhelming on her petit frame; I think she looked good.
Another princesse look but this one made the cut for the icy grey colour and 3-D flowers.
A pleasant departure from Nargis Fakhri's Filmfare award's night look was this risqué Gauri & Nainika gown. The highlight for me was the Dior 'Be Dior' bag in sorbet hues. Super sassy, all the way.
Sidharth Malhotra stepped out in one of my all time favourite menswear designers. He opted for a camouflage print jacket from Paul Smith's Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Worked well with his scruffy look.
Kareena Kapoor went all out glam in this beaded Roberto Cavalli gown with a dramatic back. Loved this look for the colour, only wish she had opted for a bag in different colour.
Totally deserving of the 'Trendsetter of The Year' Award, Sonam Kapoor introduced us to yet another international designer. This time around she picked a dramatic gown by Jean-Louis Sabaji that fit her like a dream. Loved the wet hair look and the fact that she kept the jewellery to a minimum.
