2015 Favourites ~ Loose Powders
There are many reasons as to why one needs a powder in their make-up bag. Powder helps set your foundation, takeaway excess shine, provide a good base for your blush and to help make-up last longer.
Although you get powders in many different forms, I personally prefer using loose powders. They have an extremely fine consistency and therefore, much lighter on the face. I use a powder to "mattify" my oily T-zone and to set my under-eye concealer. There were two loose powders that I reached for the most in 2015 and they were the clear favourites.
Ben Nye Luxury Powder
As you can see from the picture above, it is a loose colour that I use in the shade Banana. A lot of people tend to call this the "Banana Powder," however, banana is simply the name of one of the several shades (albeit most popular thanks to a certain Ms. Kim K) this powder is available in. Totally worthy of all the hype, this powder disappears in seconds setting the base and leaving the skin feeling super smooth. Keep in mind that you only need a tiny amount. I apply this using different applicators (brush or beauty blender) depending on the part of my face I am applying it to.
Make Up Forever HD Powder
The Make-Up Forever HD Powder is another extremely fine powder. It helps to matify the skin without drying the skin. The translucent shade makes this a universal colour to suit all skin tones. Goes on invisible in person and on video; however, can be tricky with flash photography.
