Best Dressed at Star Guild Awards 2015
I have been a little slow on posting celebrity style pictures recently, because for the most part I haven't come across too many looks that looked different. However, awards season is here and I am happy to report that there is a lots to talk about. :-)
Priyanka Chopra has been taking quite a few risks with her appearances and I think she totally pulls them off. This look in particular is simply, WOW. Making her the best dressed star at the Star Guild Awards 2015 for me.
What I assumed was a Gauri & Nainika gown at first is a Toni Maticevski dress. The Melbourne based designer known for his drapes and cuts, seems to have caught the fancy of Bollywood Divas of late. The Fluro colour ensured that all eyes were on Priyanka Chopra at the awards night. The vibrant colour was also what made the gown for me. Priyanka Chopra finished the look with a mohawk pony tail and rose gold Mawi necklace.
Sharaddha Kapoor was the other scene-stealer at the Star Guild Awards with a sparkling Atsu gown and jewellery from Gehna Jewellers. She paired the gown with a contrasting navy box clutch. Simple hair and make-up also worked well with the look.
Alia Bhatt was a pleasant surprise in this cobalt blue, Prabal Gurung number. It was an unexpected choice of dress from the actress that looked fab on her specially with the slick hairdo. The high-slit is continuing to rule red carpets across the globe and I wouldn't have expected someone with a petit frame as her to opt for this trend. Nevertheless, she looked great and finished the look with Isharya rings and Christian Louboutin shoes.
Deepika Padukone opted for this ornate Amit GT gown. As always she looked lovely. Again, loved the hairstyle.
Kriti Sanon opted for a Gaurav Gupta gown for the red carpet. I simply love the outfit and I think it looks great on her. I liked the idea of going with an updo with this dress given the embellished neckline, however, I would have preferred a slightly messy bun.
Lisa Haydon could not have picked a better colour to compliment her complexion. She looked stunning in this Gauri & Nainika gown. The off-shoulder neckline, belted waited, ruffled skirt, side-swept hair and coral lips... I loved it all.
While Kirti Sanon looked lovely, I would have to say this couture gown was my favourite Gaurav Gupta look of the night. Jacqueline Fernandez looked fantastic on the red carpet.
You probably shouldn't take me too seriously when it comes to Hrithik Roshan, as I will probably like everything he wears with a clear bias... :-) With that said, I think he was the best dressed male of the night. I quite liked this velvet shawl collar jacket and bow tie look.
Ayushmann Khurrana tried to add a touch of whimsy to red carpet look with this dotted Sahil Aneja suit and multi-coloured bow tie and pocket square.
Varun Dhawan went the classic route, with this double-breasted suit, white shirt, blue tie, white pocket square and patent leather shoes.
Shahid Kapoor also opted for a navy suit but kept it interesting with the playful printed shirt.
