The Jeans & Tee Combo
Uber cute graphic print tees are springing up everywhere including my closet :-). As simple as a jeans and t-shirt look sounds, it is one of the most difficult looks to sport. The popular combination is worn by all but is most well suited to a tall and lean frame.
However, it is the dress code we all can't do without. I have been living in this Burberry Brit knit t-shirt all summer, you will probably see it crop up on the blog several times. I paired the graphic tee with black Gold Sign jeggings (another personal favourite). It is next to impossible to get me to wear heels after a long day of work, so I opted for these Burberry flats. Completed the look with a Marc by Marc Jacobs bag.
The hint of fur on the shoes and the leather bracelet add an edgy element to the look. Wore this out for a casual dinner.
With the jeans and t-shirt combination you really have nowhere to hide. So here are a few tricks to keep in mind.
Play with proportions...
The t-shirt I am wearing is shorter in length as compared to your usual tee and one size bigger than what I would normally wear. So skip the snug and go oversized.
To compliment a relaxed tee keep the bottoms dark and form fitting.
Style your hair...
I have been blessed with big punjabi shoulders and you will rarely find me with my hair pulled back. Style the hair to bring some of it to the front to cut broad shoulders. Don't bring all of the hair to the front because then you will appear to be really big built from the back.
