Tod's Spring/Summer 2014 Bags
I visited the Tod's boutique at DLF Emporio yesterday looking for sandals. Spent a fair bit of time trying on all the shoes as well as bags and as always loved each one of them.
Even though I went looking for shoes, the first thing I have to talk about is the new D-bag. No matter how many D-bags you own previously, you can't resist the charm of the latest dual colour mini D-bag. The one with a blue and cream combination is on my wish list. Hands down the cutest bag, I have seen all season at any store.
Fringing has been a key trend across several leading international brands this Spring/Summer. This detail is the key ornament on the Tod's bags as well adding an element of fun to the all-purpose styles.
The fringing also extends to the shoes. You have the option to choose from flats to heels with the fringe flair. I am not kidding when I say I tried on all the different sandals in store. The end result was major confusion as I came home without buying anything (need more time to come to a decision...too difficult to select only one... hehehehe...).
Cotton dresses with flats is my summer staple. I usually wear open shoes with dresses and Tod's has a great selection that you can choose from. The shoes in two-tone contrasting colours are a must-have.
When looking for comfort check for a wider front on the shoe and the type of sole. Personally, I prefer to opt shoes with the rubber soles as opposed to the leather soles when looking for all day comfort. Comparatively, the leather sole takes longer to wear into.
While I wait for the Tod's boutique to open in Mumbai, I am happy to share that even if you don't live in Delhi, you can get in touch with the Tod's boutique at DLF Emporio and they are happy to assist you with pictures of in-store product which they can arrange to be shipped to your home.
