Livon Unveils Moroccan Silk Serum
This gold lamp and scroll arrived in my office to much amusement as the office boy exclaimed on the phone, "Madam apke liye Aladdin aya hai." Needless to say I was very intrigued by this unique invitation and made sure I don't miss the event.
The dress code for the event was pink, white and gold and this theme continued onto the venue's decor. A banquet at the Palladium hotel in Mumbai was adorned with pink drapes, ornate lamps and woven rugs. Bloggers were welcomed with Arabic tunes and scrumptious delights as they got settled in front of a decorated table.
I think a hundred times before trying on anything new when it comes to my hair because more often than not it just doesn't seem to work. So when skeptical me was asked to wash my hair at the event, I was quite reluctant at first, but eventually decided to give this a try because of the magic ingredient, Argan Oil.
Having visited Morocco, this November, I am quite familiar with Argan Oil and its benefits. Dubbed as liquid gold and the secret to Moroccan women's beauty, this oil is produced from the kernels of the Argan tree, that is native to Morocco. This special potion is used as a skin moisturiser, lip balm and hair conditioner. It has anit-agening properties, is used to cure acne and reduce stretch marks.
Livon has infused Morocco's Argan Oil with UV filters, Vitamin E and Japanese conditioning agents to develop this serum.
My Experience With Livon's Moroccan Silk Serum
I have naturally curly and typically I don't use any hair serums as part of my hair care routine. At the event, I got my hair washed with shampoo and conditioner and then applied about 6 pumps of the Moroccan Silk Serum. I left my hair to air dry and found my hair to be really soft to touch, shiny and free of tangles.
However, once completely dry my curls were not as defined as I would like them to be due to the smoothening effect of the serum. If you have straight or wavy hair then this product will work wonderfully for you. If you have tight curls like mine, I would recommend you apply the serum on the days you wish you wear your hair straight. The serum was a big help in reducing the frizz and didn't look oily or weigh my hair down. I am sure to apply the serum on a day I want to blow dry and iron my hair.
Also, I must mention that the moment I hear the words oil I assume that the product is bound to have a peculiar smell, however, the Moroccan Silk Serum has no such issues and gives off a fine fragrance.
How To Apply Livon's Moroccan Silk Serum?
Famed hairstylist, Kanta Motwani walked us through the steps of applying the Serum.
- Apply 2 pumps of the Moroccan Silk Serum to shampooed and towel dried hair. You may or may not use conditioner when you shampoo, as Ms. Motwani said that she has used it without conditioner and the results have been just as good.
- Apply the serum to the length of your hair and not to your scalp. If you have really long and thick hair you may apply more than 2 pumps.
- You hair will be free of tangles and you can continue to style it as you like.
