Blue Makes Me Happy
While female tourists are not expected to dress as the local Moroccan women, it is best to dress modestly to avoid an issues specially when visiting the olden parts of the cities.
When I say modest I don't mean an ill-fitting black skirt and oversized shirt. A long flared skirt, t-shirt and stole are a great option to have some fun yet dress appropriately while visiting a conservative country. I am sure if you look hard enough, you'll be able to recreate this look from existing pieces in your closet.
This stole and skirt is part of a three-piece set from Label by Ritu Kumar, since the original top was sleeveless, I opted this Ralph Lauren t-shirt. Keeping a stole handy is a must, as you can wrap it around yourself as and when you need.
Wore this outfit as I explored the Medina in Marrakech. Most of the monuments are located within this old walled part of the city. The skirt was cool and comfortable for a long day of sight-seeing.
A cross-body bag helps you be hands-free. I've had this Bottega Veneta sling for years now and due to the practical size and versatile colour it has been my go to bag for several for my trips.
Finished the look with a turquoise neck piece is from Amrapali, Hermes enamel bangles and Dior sunglasses.
